The Weekend Report-Cleveland and Kansas City
AMSOIL SHOCK THERAPY PUSHES THE LIMITS
Cleveland, OH-The Amsoil Shock Therapy truck stands out in a crowd based on looks alone, but once it gets on the track, it stands out in performance as well. In Cleveland, a world-class field of trucks was headed by Jon Zimmer, who pushed that field to the limit in Amsoil Shock Therapy every night in every competition. On the weekend, Amsoil Shock Therapy made three final-round appearances and was a runner-up in freestyle three times, a great accomplishment for a field of 8 World Finals-quality trucks. “With Amsoil behind me, I have full confidence in my equipment on the track,” said Zimmer. “There were no slouches in the field here in Cleveland, and we came out of the weekend doing really well.”
Amsoil Excaliber was right in the mix of things as well, taking second and third-place finishes all weekend in freestyle to go with competitive runs in racing.
“When the two Amsoil trucks are in the top three in every competition, that’s a good thing,” said driver Carl VanHorn. “We always want to be right there at the top, and we were able to be right there all weekend.”
VanHorn even rolled Excaliber over trying to win the freestyle competition, but the truck only suffered body damage. The trucks are being worked on in North Carolina to ensure they are 100% in time for the next show.

CULT ENERGY ACTIVATOR AND REDCAT GROUND POUNDER STORM KANSAS CITY
Kansas City, Missouri-Cult Energy Activator and Redcat Racing Ground Pounder went into Kansas City with one goal in mind—win. They came away with that goal accomplished, beating out some of the best trucks in the world in the process. Sean Duhon drove Cult Energy Activator into the winner’s circle once in racing and once in freestyle, while Ben Winslow had some of the best wheelies of the weekend and proved that the full-size Ground Pounder is just as reliable as its RC counterpart. “I was very pleased with how the weekend went,” said Duhon. “Ben had some great runs in his truck and didn’t get the scores he should have, but we both pushed the other trucks hard, and I was able to get a couple of wins for the Cult and Ground Pounder team.”

Duhon took his freestyle victory over the legendary Grave Digger truck, which is no easy feat anywhere.
“Grave Digger is the most popular truck in the world, and also one of the best,” said Duhon. “For us to get a victory over that team shows that we’re right there with, and beating, the best in the business.”
Winslow did his part in Ground Pounder, and once again, the truck took everything he threw at it, finishing out the multi-show weekend with no damage.
“This Redcat Racing Ground Pounder truck sure can take the abuse,” said Winslow. “It’s a testament to our great maintenance program, and also the help and support of Redcat Racing.”
With another successful weekend in the books, Duhon and Winslow take Cult Energy Activator and Redcat Racing Ground Pounder to Worcester, Massachusetts looking to build on the great momentum they picked up this weekend. We’ll keep you updated!
