Dixie Domination for SIR

Woodstock, GA-Some weekends, everything just comes together. At Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia, Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber had one of those weekends. In a dominating performance, the trucks faced off one night in the final round of racing, along with top three finishes in freestyle to complete a highly successful weekend.

“Things went great all around,” said Amsoil Shock Therapy driver Jon Zimmer. “I was able to beat Panda (Chris Ryan, Amsoil Excaliber driver), but he made it close. The Amsoil product we’re running in these trucks, along with the support we have from the team is great.”

Friday’s show included a great final round of racing between Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber, with Zimmer driving Amsoil Shock Therapy to the victory by only half a truck length. Freestyle both nights saw Ryan drive Excaliber into the lead with a good hit on a huge bus stack on the track, only to be slightly bested by his teammate each night.

“I’ve really got some confidence going after having some bad luck last weekend in Pontiac,” said Ryan. “I’m learning something every week, and the new seat we put in the truck helps out a lot. I feel comfortable, and I’m excited for the shows we have coming up in Amsoil Excaliber!”

Amsoil Shock Therapy was on fire throughout the weekend, getting several slap wheelies, big air, donuts, you name it, Jon Zimmer accomplished it, and won both shows hands-down. Video below:
