SIR Fast in Fort Smith

Fort Smith, Arkansas-Sudden Impact Racing’s Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber kept right on winning in Fort Smith, with some spectacular moments along the way.

The night began with the wheelie contest, where the continued aggression and improvement of Kevin Koszala behind the wheel of Amsoil Excaliber showed. Koszala skied Amsoil Excaliber towards the roof of the building, coming down hard on one tire and flopping over onto its side. Both driver and truck were unhurt and able to continue on.

Amsoil Excaliber would pick up the wheelie contest win and keep all four tires down…that is, after nearly hitting the rafters of the arena with his wheelie effort! That attitude continued right on into freestyle, where Amsoil Excaliber lost brakes and bounced into a huge wheelie that broke some parts, but again, left fans on their feet screaming for Sudden Impact Racing.

The night belonged to Amsoil Shock Therapy and Jon Zimmer, as he would again show why he is one of the best drivers in the world. Amsoil Shock Therapy put on a two-minute clinic of big air, wheelies, and multiple killer sets of donuts that left the brake rotors glowing, dirt all over the place, and the crowd cheering for more.

“We love it when we win; it’s good for Amsoil, it’s good for Sudden Impact Racing, and it is the best feeling in the world to please those fans in the stands,” said Zimmer. “We did what we could given the space in the arena, and everyone seemed happy.”

Next up, the team heads to Billings, Montana. Stay tuned!
