Chris “Panda” Ryan has risen through the ranks of the monster truck world to become a driver by the age of just 23. His age is not a factor to those who watch him compete or wrench on any of the SIR trucks, however.

“There have been a lot of times where I wanted to bring someone on board, but it didn’t work the way I wanted,” said SIR teammate Jon Zimmer. “Panda worked out great for us.”

After working for the Dominator team and Dave Wieczorek’s Galactron/Reptar transformers, Ryan’s opportunity came to work for SIR.

“I went on the road with Zimmer and got to drive Excaliber a few times, then crewed the first quarter of 2010 for Excaliber and Amsoil Shock Therapy,” said Ryan. “Now I’m back to driving, and I really enjoy it; this is a great team to be a part of.”

With a few racing and freestyle victories already under the belt in his young career, the future looks bright for Maine native Chris Ryan!
