SIR Freestyles in Oklahoma
Ada, OK-After a rain-soaked weekend that saw the event postponed, Sudden Impact Racing’s Redcat Racing Ground Pounder and Michigan Ice Monster finally got their chance to light up the show and bring the heat to the Oklahoma fans that had been so patient, bringing home a victory and some nice momentum for the team.
With a wheelie contest and three rounds of freestyle, this was all about individual performance, and Sudden Impact Racing excelled. Michigan Ice Monster was able to bring home a freestyle victory with lots of air, good donuts, and great momentum to captivate the audience.
“I really enjoy it whenever I can take a win,” said driver Chris Lagana. “I love freestyle, and being on top in that without tearing the truck up is a double win.”
Indeed, there are a lot of risks in freestyle, and one of the big risk-takers on the night was Chris “Panda” Ryan in Redcat Racing Ground Pounder, who showed no fear in grabbing the biggest air of the night, even getting a couple of slap wheelies as well.
“I’m really happy our team was able to do so well this weekend,” said Ryan. “We’re very competitive and enjoy winning, so it’s that much sweeter that we’ll be able to bring home a victory to the shop before we get ready for the next show.”
After another successful weekend, Redcat Racing Ground Pounder and Michigan Ice Monster will head next to Phoenix, Arizona November 3-6. We’ll keep you posted!
