AMSOIL SHOCK THERAPY MAKES IT HAPPEN, CULT TAKES BIG WIN IN FARGO

Houston, TX -Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber made their way to Houston, Texas for another exciting weekend of racing and freestyle in Reliant Stadium. As usual, neither truck disappointed. Amsoil Shock Therapy proved once again that it belongs at or near the winner’s circle at all times in racing, with Jon Zimmer piloting the truck to a semi-final appearance in the huge field. Carl VanHorn had some tough luck on the weekend, with the Amsoil Excaliber having a battery mount come loose, ending his freestyle run prematurely.

Sometimes when bad luck strikes, it’s the responsibility of one teammate to pick up another, and Zimmer did just that, taking Amsoil Shock Therapy to an incredible freestyle performance. Zimmer only ran for a minute, but still managed to score towards the top of the freestyle heap. After several large hits, Zimmer decided it was time to go for the victory, launching Amsoil Shock Therapy to the heavens with an incredible leap that left the fans in Houston speechless—then exploded into cheers as Zimmer became the only person on the night to clear the double jump on the track, capping it off with a slap wheelie upon landing.

“We bent up a rim pretty good, and some of the guys in the pits told me I was on the way to a win before that happened,” said Zimmer. “I just wanted to make sure I went big and did things that nobody else did out there. Team Amsoil Shock Therapy is not here to be the same as everyone else; we’re here to do whatever it takes to win, and be aggressive.”

With every fan in the house satisfied once again in Houston, Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber loaded up and are on their way to Cleveland, Ohio for another great set of shows on the 2010 tour.

Fargo, ND-The Fargodome played host to yet another year of frigid temperatures outside and hot action inside, and Cult Energy Activator along with Redcat Racing Ground Pounder were right in the thick of things. Sean Duhon drove Cult Energy Activator to a racing victory against the World Finals-quality field, then both Cult Energy Activator and Redcat Racing Ground Pounder tore it up in freestyle.

“We put down a lot of cans of Cult working on the trucks and getting everything how we wanted, but it paid off,” said Duhon with a laugh. “I was really happy with how things went. It was great to get such a big racing win.”

Ben Winslow had solid showings all weekend that demonstrated the toughness of the large-scale truck, something that is in line with the RC counterpart.

Duhon launched Cult Energy Activator from every obstacle in the arena, drawing cheers from the fans and the approval of his teammate.

“Sean did a great job this weekend in Cult,” said Winslow. “We both feel like things went well. It’s a tough job to perform multiple times in an arena that large; it’s rough on equipment, but we have great sponsors behind us to help us stay together and get the job done, and that’s what we did!”

Next, Cult Energy Activator and Redcat Racing Ground Pounder make the trip to Kansas City, Missouri for another multi-show weekend. They are up to the task, and we will keep you updated on their progress!
