Bangor, Maine-(photos courtesy Rosey Burroughsford) Sudden Impact Racing’s Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber made their way to Maine for a long weekend of Monster Jam shows in front of some rabid fans, fighting adversity to finish strong on the weekend. Amsoil Excaliber battled starter issues, but nonetheless was able to come away with some impressive performances with home-state boy Chris Ryan behind the wheel.
“It was nice to get out there near home and go big,” said Ryan. “I’ve been excited about this for the whole summer, and even with the problems we had, we fought through and put on a great show for the fans.”
That show was highlighted not only by Amsoil Excaliber, but Amsoil Shock Therapy as well. The 2011 World Finals Qualifier went for huge air all weekend, and did his trademark “walking donuts” down the front stretch of Speedway 95 to the delight of the crowd.
“It’s always fun at a speedway to do that,” said Amsoil Shock Therapy’s Jon Zimmer. “With the Sudden Impact Racing tires we have, I can use the gas, brake, and steering to set the truck into some donuts that travel from one area to another. It was a great weekend!”
Next up for the team is some exciting action in Halifax, Nova Scotia for another Monster Jam event as the summer tour rolls on. We will keep you posted on all the action from there!
