SIR Wins Worldwide
Markham and Simcoe, Ontario and Rolla, Missouri-Sudden Impact Racing’s Redcat Racing Ground Pounder and Michigan Ice Monster have been blazing a trail all over the United States and Canada, continuing to reach new corners of the world to impress fans with their racing and freestyle abilities. The past few weeks have been filled with long hours, lots of travel, and several wins as well.
The trip began in Markham, where the highlight was another big racing victory for the team; this time it was Chris Lagana in Michigan Ice Monster racking up another win for Sudden Impact Racing.
“It’s great to get a win anywhere, and these fans up north here are just as excited about monster trucks as anywhere else,” said Lagana. “We travel a long way to come entertain them, and I want to make sure they leave happy.”
They did indeed leave happy, even after a muddy second night that gave a lot of drivers trouble. Redcat Racing Ground Pounder knocked the mud off in Simcoe and took two victories, one with a fantastic high-speed multi-revolution donut in the donut contest, then a tie for the freestyle victory.
“Redcat Racing Ground Pounder was running good after some trouble in the mud,” said driver Chris Ryan. “I enjoy taking victories and entertaining these great fans, so when I can do both, it’s worth the trip.”
Finally, the team concluded a whirlwind couple of weeks with a stop back in the States, Missouri to be exact. Wheelie competition, donuts, and two rounds of freestyle in two separate shows on one day puts a lot of wear and tear on both trucks and drivers, but Sudden Impact Racing powered through it, with a solid performance from Michigan Ice Monster leading to an awesome dual freestyle from Redcat Racing Ground Pounder and Bounty Hunter to close the evening.
More from the team soon! Stay tuned.
