Sudden Impact Racing Goes Undefeated!

CULT ENERGY ACTIVATOR AND REDCAT RACING GROUND POUNDER CLEAN HOUSE IN CANADA

Medicine Hat and Red Deer, AB-Sudden Impact Racing’s Cult Energy Activator and Redcat Racing Ground Pounder took home big wins in two different cities in three days, making good use of their time north of the border. The trip began with Medicine Hat, Alberta, where it was all Cult Energy Activator. Cult Energy Activator swept the entire show, which featured wheelie, racing, and freestyle competitions.

“It felt great to get a sweep in Cult Energy Activator,” said driver Sean Duhon. “We run hard no matter where we are, and the fans in Canada have been great to us.”

After a great beginning in Medicine Hat, it was on to Red Deer, Alberta, where more success awaited team Redcat Racing Ground Pounder/Cult Energy Activator. Cult Energy Activator made it two for two in wheelie contests, starting the night off right with a great sky wheelie to take the victory. Redcat Racing Ground Pounder was not to be outdone, however, and made a victorious trip to the racing final.

“We have our setup more and more dialed in every weekend for Redcat Racing Ground Pounder,” said Ben Winslow. “This team is fantastic, from Brandon Lagarde to the great sponsors like Redcat Racing, it’s great to be able to win for them!”

Next, Redcat Racing Ground Pounder and Cult Energy Activator invade Miami, Oklahoma for a big two-day weekend looking to build on momentum from Canada.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE AND “TRIPLE DOUBLE” FOR AMSOIL SHOCK THERAPY

Glens Falls, NY-Sudden Impact Racing made another clean sweep of a weekend, continuing Amsoil Shock Therapy driver Jon Zimmer’s streak of domination at three straight weekends in Glens Falls, New York. Before the show, however, Amsoil Shock Therapy visited Arlington Elementary School in Vermont during the day Friday to let our nation’s future get a look at Amsoil Shock Therapy up close.

“My son always asked me, ‘Dad, how come you come to other peoples’ schools, but not mine?’ and I decided that we’d kill two birds with one stone and make some kids happy. That’s our job anyway!” said Zimmer.

After speaking to the school and giving a quick demonstration of loading the truck up in the parking lot, it was time for the show in Glens Falls. With family and friends in attendance, Amsoil Shock Therapy was able to win wheelie, racing, and freestyle competitions on both Friday and Saturday. One of the many highlights included Saturday’s show, where Zimmer planted Amsoil Shock Therapy on its tailgate on the last car of the set, completing a perfect sky wheelie and winning hands-down.

“I feel great about the showings we’ve had,” said Zimmer. “Amsoil is giving us the product to get the job done, and we’ve had nothing but wins for three straight weekends. It was also great to be close to my hometown for a show; the fans’ reaction in the autograph line was great after both shows!”

Amsoil Excaliber’s Chris Ryan started Friday off well, then encountered a back problem for Saturday, leaving Zimmer to drive both Amsoil Excaliber and Amsoil Shock Therapy on Saturday.

“It was a hectic weekend, but a great one overall. I had a good time and it’s great to have the opportunity to make a difference for the fans and for our sponsors as well,” said Zimmer.

Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber head to Canada on behalf of Sudden Impact Racing for a two-location weekend, invading both Saint John and Moncton, New Brunswick. We will have all the results from there!

Good Times, More Success in Penticton!

PENTICTON, BC-Redcat Racing Ground Pounder and Cult Energy Activator began another successful weekend in Penticton with a bit of media action (Link here), then it was time to get down to business come race night. The crowd was quickly shown that Sudden Impact Racing was ready to go, with Cult Energy Activator standing above the rest of the field and taking the wheelie contest victory.

“The truck was running great for me, and there’s nothing like a win to get the weekend started,” said driver Sean Duhon. “We just kept rolling from there; I think Penticton liked the Cult drink a lot too!”

Redcat Racing Ground Pounder made a strong showing as well, cutting some great donuts in freestyle and turning it into a teammate battle that Cult Energy Activator won for the racing portion of the program.

“The fans here were absolutely great,” said Redcat Racing Ground Pounder’s Ben Winslow. “They spent their hard-earned money to come see us early at the pit party, then watch us at the show. I can’t ask for anything more. We tried to give them the best show we could, and I believe it went really well for us.”

With two more wins in the bag, the team continues their Canadian tour in Medicine Hat, Alberta this weekend. We’ll keep you posted!

Monster Spectacular to Roar in Penticton

Another Great Week for SIR

AMSOIL SHOCK THERAPY HEATS UP FARMINGTON

Farmington, NM-When you’re hot, you’re hot, and lately, Amsoil Shock Therapy has been on fire, adding another dominant weekend to a recent string of dominant weekends in Farmington, New Mexico. Amsoil Shock Therapy won the wheelie, racing, and freestyle competitions at two big shows this past weekend, completing a perfect sweep.

“We had some hard-charging competition,” driver Jon Zimmer said. “I love the equipment I have under me and the support we get from Amsoil and all of our sponsors is amazing. I have full confidence that I get what I need to have weekends like the one the team just had.”

Amsoil Shock Therapy was most hotly contested for wins during the weekend by teammate truck Amsoil Excaliber, driven by Chris Ryan. Amsoil Excaliber and Amsoil Shock Therapy met in the racing finals during one show, with Amsoil Shock Therapy bringing home another trophy.

“Anytime I run Jon hard in racing, I know I’ve done pretty well,” said Ryan. “I learn every week and try to improve, and having Amsoil and Sudden Impact Racing’s full support is exactly what I need to do that.”

Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber will look to extend their winning streak next on May 21 in Pendicton, New Brunswick. We will provide updates from there!

TEAM SIR DOES BIG THINGS IN SMALL SPACES

REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN-The floor space in Regina, Saskatchewan for Cult Energy Activator and Redcat Racing Ground Pounder was at a premium, but both drivers brought the best show they could to our neighbors to the north.

“We were able to make the most of what we had and ran hard all weekend,” said Redcat Racing Ground Pounder driver Ben Winslow. “My shocks are a lot better; there’s no better test than landing on concrete after a big jump.”

Those big jumps helped Winslow and teammate Sean Duhon of Cult Energy Activator push their trucks to the limit in freestyle, where competition was unscored. Rest assured that didn’t matter to Redcat Racing Ground Pounder or Cult Energy Activator!

“I got a slap wheelie and felt good about my runs,” said Cult Energy Activator’s Sean Duhon. “One of the tests of a good driver is how well he or she does in small spaces, and I feel like both trucks passed that test this weekend.”

Another trip to a new venue meant more success and exposure for Redcat Racing and Cult Energy via the Ground Pounder and Activator monster trucks, and more success and confidence for Winslow and Duhon.

Cult Energy Activator and Redcat Racing Ground Pounder head to Pendicton, BC next. We will provide updates from there!

Dixie Domination for SIR

Woodstock, GA-Some weekends, everything just comes together. At Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia, Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber had one of those weekends. In a dominating performance, the trucks faced off one night in the final round of racing, along with top three finishes in freestyle to complete a highly successful weekend.

“Things went great all around,” said Amsoil Shock Therapy driver Jon Zimmer. “I was able to beat Panda (Chris Ryan, Amsoil Excaliber driver), but he made it close. The Amsoil product we’re running in these trucks, along with the support we have from the team is great.”

Friday’s show included a great final round of racing between Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber, with Zimmer driving Amsoil Shock Therapy to the victory by only half a truck length. Freestyle both nights saw Ryan drive Excaliber into the lead with a good hit on a huge bus stack on the track, only to be slightly bested by his teammate each night.

“I’ve really got some confidence going after having some bad luck last weekend in Pontiac,” said Ryan. “I’m learning something every week, and the new seat we put in the truck helps out a lot. I feel comfortable, and I’m excited for the shows we have coming up in Amsoil Excaliber!”

Amsoil Shock Therapy was on fire throughout the weekend, getting several slap wheelies, big air, donuts, you name it, Jon Zimmer accomplished it, and won both shows hands-down. Video below:

With both trucks emerging relatively unscathed, it’s off to Farmington for the next show. We’ll keep you updated from there!

All SIR in Detroit!

Detroit, Michigan-It had been four long years since monster trucks returned to the location of the first car crush, the Silverdome in Pontiac, Michigan. Sudden Impact driver Sean Duhon made it worth the wait. When the dust settled after the finals of the racing portion of the event, Duhon had taken a great racing victory, besting 15 other trucks and enjoying the cheers of the crowd.

“It felt great to bring home a win at such a big show,” said Duhon. “I love being able to do positive things for Sudden Impact Racing, and I want to thank Brandon Lagarde, the entire team, and all of our sponsors. I was so excited after I was done, I barely knew what to say!”

That excitement meant Duhon spun the truck into a great set of donuts, then thanked the fans and promised them more for freestyle, which he also delivered upon with a top-tier performance there as well. Duhon pulled a slap wheelie off of a large bus stack on the track, kept great momentum, and pulled off the track unscathed on a night when many trucks broke or rolled over.

“It was mission accomplished in Pontiac,” he said. “When we have nights like this, we’re even more thankful for the support we get from sponsors.”

Redcat Racing’s Ground Pounder lived up to its name in Detroit, Michigan, enjoying the sound of thousands of happy, screaming fans at the end of its freestyle run. Driver Ben Winslow had an outstanding start-to-finish freestyle run at the Pontiac Silverdome, including riding out a nice slap wheelie after an incredible jump on a bus stack.

“I was happy with how things went in Michigan,” Winslow said. “I had a lot of fun meeting the fans and introducing them to the Ground Pounder RC, and it felt great to get out there and show what the monster truck could do!”

What the truck did was thrill thousands of new Redcat Racing Ground Pounder fans. Winslow also included a donut, great momentum, and a sideways jump off of the bus stack that brought Redcat Racing Ground Pounder from two wheels to the other two wheels, then finally back to earth.

“This is a tough truck and we’ve got it working well,” said Winslow. “It is great to have the support from Redcat Racing, and if they are happy, I’m definitely happy!”

Next, Winslow and Duhon get a weekend to repair the lower cradle and shock mounts on Ground Pounder, which they began by spending all of Wednesday doing, then it’s off to Regina, Saskatchewan for some action north of the border.

Michigan Ice Monster was a special identity for Chris “Panda” Ryan’s truck this weekend, and Ryan made a solid pass in racing and freestyle before a broken steering ram stopped him early.

“I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to show what else I could do behind the wheel, but I’m going to continue to work and improve,” said Ryan. “I am looking forward to the opportunity to impress some people here next week in Georgia.”

Whenever Amsoil Excaliber hits the track, people take notice. The huge show was driver Jon Zimmer’s personal stage in freestyle, and an outstanding run from him made certain that Amsoil Excaliber was on everyone’s minds when the event ended. After being upset in racing, Zimmer took out his frustration in freestyle, where for 90 seconds, Amsoil Excaliber hit every obstacle on the track bigger and harder than the rest of the field. When the run was finished, Amsoil Excaliber had blasted off of a huge bus stack, whipped an insane set of cyclone donuts, and ended up with a rollover attempting another turn. Zimmer hopped out of the truck to the roar of the huge stadium crowd, then climbed on top of the bus he jumped earlier in his run to salute the fans.

“I wasn’t happy with the racing part, but I felt like the freestyle went pretty well,” said Zimmer. “We want to make sure Amsoil is pleased with how we represent them. People were coming up to me after the show and complimenting the run.”

Another weekend, another great impression for Team Amsoil Excaliber/SIR. After thrilling fans in monster trucks’ return to the Silverdome, Zimmer and Ryan head to Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia.

“I’m definitely looking forward to Dixie and taking this Amsoil truck to the limit there!” said Zimmer.

We will keep you updated on all the happenings from there! Thanks for visiting.

Team Amsoil/SIR Tears up Elko; Pontiac Prep

Elko, MN-No matter the size of the crowd or the profile of the event, Team Amsoil/SIR comes to race hard, and that is exactly what Amsoil Shock Therapy and Amsoil Excaliber did this weekend at Elko Speedway. At the freestyle-only exhibition, the crowd was treated to several great runs from Amsoil Shock Therapy, driven by Jon Zimmer, and Amsoil Excaliber, driven by Mitch Tulachka.

“The people from Elko Speedway seemed very happy with how we did,” said Zimmer. “Our goal is always to represent our team and sponsors well, and for that, it was mission accomplished.”

The “mission” Zimmer refers to apparently involved leaving nothing on the track, as Amsoil Shock Therapy nailed an amazing four slap wheelies, dragging the tailgate and wowing the crowd. Tulachka took Amsoil Excaliber through its paces as well, making the most of a substitute appearance behind the wheel.

“Zimmer is a friend of mine, and we made this thing happen for this weekend only,” he said. “We wanted to represent Amsoil and the team well. He always talks to me about how important it is to him to keep everyone in the stands and behind the scenes happy.”

Indeed everyone did go home happy, and for that, it was another mission accomplished for Team Amsoil/SIR.

Next, the team heads to a huge show at the Pontiac Silverdome. Sean Duhon and Ben Winslow have been busy in the New Orleans shop prepping trucks for that show, including a redo of the rear shocks on Winslow’s Redcat Racing Ground Pounder. Duhon also did a display in the Cult Energy Activator that went over well.

“It is always great to meet fans of the truck and the Cult Energy drink,” he said. “We know how important our sponsorship is, and we’re getting ready for the show in Pontiac so that things will go smoothly there.”

We will keep you updated on all the happenings from there!
